I Met Pee Wee Herman
One of the cool things about working for the corporate overlords at MTV is that I get to do interesting work-related stuff every once in a while. The other night I went to Spike TV's first annual (keep your fingers crossed) Guys Choice awards...and I met Pee-wee!
He was making his first public appearance in 15 years and, even though he seemed a bit shy backstage, that didn't stop me from walking right up to him and shaking his hand. Making my childhood heroes uncomfortable -- that's just how I roll.
My name is Doug Hammond, and I love chocolate hamburgers and ice cream.

Too bad Richard Dean Anderson wasn't there. You could've killed two childhood-hero birds with one handshake. Well, I guess you still would've had to shake two hands. Unless of course RDA invented a contraption to streamline the process, which is of course very likely.
