We Now Conclude Our Broadcast Day
I've been having a blast digging through the dozens of videos on YouTube depicting TV sign-off messages throughout the years, back before most stations broadcasted on a 24-hour programming schedule.
It's interesting to see how many there are from the mid-1980s, presumably when adoption of VHS players took off.

Television New Zealand used to play this little sign off every night back before it went 24 hours. It's known as Good Night Kiwi and, in an odd way, helped to shape the national identity of our small country.

Feel free to add it to your list.

Thanks Michael. It's not very clear from the post, but if you click on the "dozens of videos on YouTube" link above, there's a playlist with all of the videos, including the Kiwi segment and a few others I've since found.

Which stations still have sign-offs in the present day of 2008?
I really wish to see sign-offs come back as it does save money on electricity for broadcast stations.
